In short: how many pixels should a Trendyol image be?
According to the “Product Image Selection and Upload” page in the Trendyol Seller Information Center, the technical requirements are:
- Format: JPEG, JPG, PNG or WEBP
- File size: at least 1 KB, at most 10 MB
- Resolution: at least 860×574 pixels, at most 2000×2000 pixels
Trendyol says images that don’t meet these requirements “may not upload to the system or may be rejected during review”.
Where does the 1200×1800 size come from?
Trendyol’s developer docs (creating products via integration/API) give the image size as 1200×1800 pixels at 96 dpi. This size is within the 860×574–2000×2000 range above, so the two don’t conflict. If you upload from the panel, the range is enough; if you send via integration, aim for 1200×1800. In our deliveries we use 1200×1800 JPEGs, which meet both.
Is a white background mandatory?
No. The official guide says: “A plain white or light-colored background should be preferred.” It’s a preference; using a colored background, a model or lifestyle images isn’t against the rules. Still, a plain background on the main image helps the product stand out in search results.
Main image and secondary images
- The product should be photographed so that it is fully and clearly visible, and it should fill most of the image area.
- Only the variant being sold (color/model/size) should be shown.
- The main image should show the product straight on and plainly; other angles, size, package contents and in-use photos go in the secondary images.
- Up to 8 images can be added per barcode (developer docs).
Images Trendyol doesn’t accept
- Low-resolution, blurry, dark or cropped images
- Images with excessive text
- Images with logos unrelated to the product or watermarks
- Shipping, returns, promotion, price, discount or gift information on the image
- Products or accessories not included in the package (if used for clarity, it must be clearly stated that they aren’t included)
- Images containing links to other sites or seller information
Note: not all text is banned, only excessive text; not all logos are banned, only logos unrelated to the product. Image approval can take up to 72 hours.
Image links for spreadsheet uploads
For bulk uploads, the image URL must start with https://, point directly to the image file and end with the file extension. Trendyol doesn’t accept Google Drive, Dropbox or similar file-sharing links; the URL must not contain spaces, brackets or special characters.
A 5-second check before uploading
- Are the sides between 860 and 2000 pixels?
- Is the file under 10 MB?
- Does the product fill the frame?
- Is there price, shipping or discount text on the image?
- Is the main image plain and shot straight on?
